North Shore Art Crawl

North Shore Art Crawl

Over 150 artists at 69 locations

The North Shore Art Crawl celebrates the talent of local artists. Each spring, artists, local community galleries, commercial galleries, and art schools open their doors to the public to display their work and share their passion. The North Shore Art Crawl is inclusive of all art forms and includes artists working in a variety of media, including textiles, jewelry, wood, pottery, graphic design, sculpture, painting, glass and photography.

“Traditionally, the North Shore Art Crawl has happened in the first two weeks of March. This year we are happy to move our event to the fall, to join an ever-growing art crawl season. With over 150 artists participating at 88 locations this year, we invite the public to stop by a local business or gallery, meet the artists, watch a demonstration, or try your hand at a creative activity, all while learning about the artistic community on the North Shore.”

Nancy Cottingham Powell, Executive Director, North Van Arts

In its thirteenth year running, the North Shore Art Crawl partners with local galleries, community centres, businesses and art schools to invite the public to celebrate the talent of local artists by viewing their works and learning about their passions. This annual event is made memorable and unique by the wide range of media displayed by the artists, including textiles, jewelry, pottery, graphic design, sculpture, painting, glass and photography.

This year over 150 artists will be exhibiting their work at 88 locations across the North Shore, from Lions Bay to Deep Cove.

The North Shore Art Crawl is a free community arts event that celebrates the creative energy of our local artists and enables cultural vitality. The objective is to feature artists in approachable and accessible art venues that encourage the community to connect and celebrate expression and diversity. We engage, inspire, and transform the North Shore through inclusive alliances among artists and the community.
