Anonymous Art Show

Every year hundreds of 8″ x 8″ artworks fill the North Van Arts gallery walls for a poetry of colour, expression, and creativity for the Anonymous Art Show. The art community has been affected by COVID-19 and this significant fundraiser will help support local artists while also supporting North Van Arts’ innovative programming.

The proceeds from this festive fundraiser provide significant support to ongoing North Van Arts’ programmes and projects while also showcasing local artists in the community. The artists remain anonymous until their work sells for $100 each, with the artist and North Van Arts each sharing 50% of the sale. Once a painting is purchased, it is removed from the wall and replaced with a sold tag, revealing the artist’s name.

North Van Arts has had to adapt how they connect and engage with the artists and people that live in this community. This fundraiser will help support programming during the current pandemic and beyond, helping them continue to innovate, create, and connect.
Their goal is to raise $30,000. 50% of funds raised is paid to artists, 50% will support 2021 programming, including:
  • Music Therapy programs for youth
  • accessible Arts Education
  • a hybrid online and in-person 2021 North Shore Art Crawl
  • and more…

The 2020 edition has been adapted within COVID-19 Policy and Procedures to ensure the safety of artists, our staff, volunteers, and visitors. The exhibition will be installed at CityScape Community ArtSpace, with viewing and purchasing happening online.
