Making plans for Easter Long Weekend?
On Vancouver’s North Shore, you’ll find a basketful of fun things to do for Easter!
Like painted eggs waiting to be found, the North Shore is dotted with springtime activities to share with your friends and family. We happen to know, for a fact, that the bunny himself will be in the neighbourhood, and we know that he’d be absolutely thrilled to see all the wide-eyed kids of all ages. Whether your traditions include pastel-coloured crafts, a picnic in the spring sunshine, or a classic egg hunt, this is your invitation to celebrate them all in our blossom-filled community.

Maplewood Farms
Celebrate Easter at Maplewood Farm, surrounded by spring’s sweetest arrivals! With baby lambs, goat kids, chicks, and bunnies all making their barnyard debut this time of year, it’s a seasonal tradition you won’t want to miss. Little ones will love exploring the grounds, meeting the animals, and taking part in Easter activities like crafts, face painting, and an egg hunt. Mr. Bunny will also be on-site for photos and hugs. An egg-cellent opportunity to capture a fun family picture together.

Looking for an outdoorsy way to spend the long weekend, where you might even spot some bald eagles? Lighthouse Park is a wonderful choice for families who want to celebrate the season surrounded by nature. This 185-acre park is home to one of the last remaining stands of old-growth Douglas fir forest in the area, offering a peaceful and historical escape just minutes from the city. Easy-to-moderate, well-maintained trails wind through towering trees and lead to stunning coastal viewpoints, making it accessible to a range of ages and abilities. Pack a picnic and turn your visit into a full-day adventure! There are plenty of scenic spots to spread out a blanket and enjoy a relaxed Easter lunch with the sprawling horizon as your backdrop.
Is there a tastier spring tradition than Easter brunch? With your basket full of eggs, you might now be craving something a little festive. An omelette, frittata, or maybe a classic Benny? Thankfully, our community eateries are well stocked with full cartons, so there’s no need to use your personal supply. Start with top spots like Loam Bistro or Catch 122, where every bite is a seasonal celebration, or plan ahead to dine at Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier’s Easter Brunch! You’re now ready to head back out and continue exploring!

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
Ready for an Easter that’s off your usual hopped path? Then follow the bunny to Hoppy Heights! One of our spring traditions, this family-friendly event puts a festive twist on one of our most famous local attractions. With a scavenger hunt, a dedicated kids’ area, and plenty of spring photo ops along the way, it’s an egg-cellent way to refresh your annual Easter plans.
Take a springtime hop through our craft brewery scene! Around Easter weekend, when you explore selected brew houses, you can collect stamps and put them towards a very sleek brewery district-branded mug. Whether you’re sipping craft beer, wine, cider or a cocktail, each tasty refresher will get you one step closer to the prize!
One of the community’s favourite outdoor destinations, Ambleside Park offers plenty of room to roam. With spring cherry blossoms in bloom, the landscape comes alive with soft pink treetops and a warm, welcoming palette. Spend the day skipping stones along the shore or tossing a frisbee in the open grassy fields. There’s space for everyone to enjoy their own adventure. Lay down a blanket, relax, and let your crew explore; it’s a wonderful way to spark curiosity and celebrate the season.
Celebrate Easter with a mountaintop brunch! A wonderful buffet of fresh, seasonal specialties awaits at one of the North Shore’s highest points. Join Grouse Mountain for their springtime tradition of festive Easter activities and a delicious feast, all set against panoramic views of the West Coast skyline. It’s a wonderful way to spend time with family, and kids will love exploring the mountain before or after enjoying a meal of festive treats. Book ASAP to secure your spot!

Thanks to the uniquely diverse ecosystems here, our forests, marshlands, and mountains are home to a thriving community of winged beauties. You can level up your eagle eye with the BC Bird Trail, an excellent introduction to where you can spot all the different species that nest in our region.

One of our favourite community spots for stories and culture, MONOVA is offering entry by donation on April 5! After your family brunch, stop by this kid-friendly museum to learn all about the lands we stand on. It’s all part of their pay-what-you-can initiative on the first Sunday of every month. Seeing as it lands on Easter Sunday this month, it will make a wonderful addition to your itinerary, in between egg hunting, of course.

The Polygon Gallery
Catering to little artists looking for a creative outlet, Kids First is an opportunity for families to connect over art and inspiration. A recurring program that happens every first weekend of the month, this is your chance to add a bit of artistic flair to your Easter Saturday and Sunday. Stop by and see what the plan is for the day; you might end up taking home your next fridge magnet masterpiece!

You’ve found all the eggs, now are you ready for a new challenge? The North Shore Culture Quest has quick and fun scavenger hunts that will take you around each of our unique neighbourhoods! You’ll be given intriguing clues that will lead you on a culture-filled walking tour through local art, history, and all kinds of fun facts. Each quest can be completed in about 30 minutes, making it a great spontaneous diversion if you’re looking to spend a bit more time here.
