Canyon Frights at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
For 11 months of the year, Vancouver’s North Shore is a bright and warm place to visit…
But at the stroke of midnight on October 1st, something changes. A moody (refreshing!) chill arrives and breezes through each cursed (character-filled!) street, leaving the friendly townspeople hungry for darker, more ominous pursuits (pumpkin spice everything!). To appease this annual moody turn, we’ve put together a special itinerary of autumn activities to keep everyone in a steady supply of festive, fresh air, and fanci-fall experiences.
Friendly traveller, we invite you to join us in this exciting shifting of the seasons. So slip on a sweater, and follow the creepy ambience towards one of the most fun and foreboding lands on the map (Vancouver’s North Shore!)
Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Festival and Launch Party

The Craft Beer Festival Launch Party sold out in 2025!
Sample the refreshingly spooky wares of all our mad local craft brewers! This two-week festival is a celebration of all things bubbly from a bustling community of brewhouses. Across the North Shore you’ll find new seasonal tap lists, pop up events, and of course the official Festival Launch Party on Friday, October 30. A costumed Halloween ball, you’re cordially invited to join the hijinx of live music, food trucks, and plenty of local beer to sample. Proceeds will be going towards North Shore Neighbourhood House, so you can be ghoulish for a good cause. And while costumes are highly encouraged, for security reasons, masks will not be permitted.

The hulking trees casting long shadows, the bridge swaying eerily in the ominous breeze… the moody season brings so many rich new layers to the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park! Take a wander through glowing mushrooms, tilted tombstones and all kinds of haunting scenes around the grounds. This is a family friendly forest adventure through a fresh air Halloween atmosphere.
Deep Cove Kayak – Dreadful Deep Cove

Deep Cove Kayak
Taking things onto the water, Deep Cove is bringing back its annual seabound spook fest! Put on your most sinister ensemble and grab a paddle, this is an aquatic tour full of autumn ambience. You’re welcome to bring your own vessel, or rent one on site, the goal is to get as many people paddling as possible as proceeds will be going towards the local Food Banks. Prizes will be given for the most creative costume, so be sure to put in a little imagination!

The Shipyards
We all know what the real reason to celebrate all Hallow’s Eve is…The candy! BUT before you sit up in your orthopedic desk chair and say, “don’t mind if DO”, a quick reminder that this is for KIDS and it’s fairly possible you’ve aged out of trick-or-treating. So bring your little ones to Lower Lonsdale where over 60 local businesses will be handing out treats to all pint-sized parties. You can also expect scary decorations, live music, and roving performers, all excellent distractions while you steal a few of their Oh Henry’s.

Polygon Gallery
To mark the most cursed occasion of the year, the esteemed waterfront arts hub is transforming itself into a seedy, fluorescent hughed fitness centre for the UNDEAD. Welcome to the Demonic 80s Aerobics Party, where sequinned leotards, leg warmers, and head bands are all given one last chance to stalk the night. Grab your most garish garb and follow the parade of feathered hair towards an evening of live performance, tarot card readings, and all manner of 80s excess.
