A FUNDRAISER FOR THE ADAPTIVE SAILING ASSOCIATION OF B.C (formally Disabled Sailing).

Burrard Yacht Club hosts this community event to recognize classic boats and cars on our coast. This event is for everyone, along with the ability to see classic cars and classic boats at our facility, we offer free children’s sailing, along with the community sponsors it is a great day to get on the water.

Over the years we have donated over $60,000 to support Adaptive Sailing

Did you know the Adaptive Sailing Association was founded after the late British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, gave Rick Hansen “the Iron Lady” sailboat for disabled sailors during his Man in Motion Tour?  Rick, with Margaret Thatcher’s blessings, then gave the Iron Lady to Sam Sullivan who then founded the Disabled Sailing Association of B.C. [DSA]. The 1st of its kind in Canada.

We hope to see you, your family and friends on Saturday June 10th 2023 (100 hrs. 1500 hrs) attend all or part of this exciting event!
