North Vancouver’s iconic waterfront will be the home for Shipyards Live, an 8-week summer series featuring live music, culture, food, and activities for the whole family. Fully compliant with all health and safety guidance contained in Stage 3 of British Columbia’s Restart plan, Shipyards Live will bring celebration and joy back to one of the Lower Mainland’s most popular public event spaces.
Beginning Friday, July 30th, Shipyards Live will host daylong festivals every Friday and Saturday until the final event finale on Saturday, September 18th. These events will be free for the public and will include a splash park, giant licenced patio, artisan vendors, food trucks, and live music programming until 10pm daily.
Along with the music, a vibrant collection of artisans and artists will display their wares along the walk from the Seabus. The entire waterfront from Lonsdale Quay Market, Shipyard Commons, and Shipbuilders Square will be abuzz with festival colour and excitement. Shipyards Live will launch with opening weekend celebrations which include a Pride Variety Show presented by the North Shore Pride Alliance, and performances by the Shenanigans and Sambacouver.
