Grouse Mountain
Known as both a resort and an attraction, Grouse Mountain is a popular North Vancouver summer and winter mountain playground. There's not a better view of Vancouver's North Shore and the city of Vancouver than what you'll see from the Grouse Mountain Skyride, an aerial tram that ferries visitors up the mountain 365 days a year.
If it's action you want, there are non-stop year-round adventures to keep your heart racing. The most famous is the Grouse Grind, a seasonal (yes, we take the winter off) grueling, near vertical run-a foot slog for some-2.9k hike up the mountain, gaining 2800 feet in elevation. Little wonder it's known as the "Mother Nature's Stairmaster."
While we've got great skiing, there's much more in store from sleigh rides, snowshoeing, ice-skating, eco-hikes, lumberjack shows, a wildlife refuge, helicopter tours, paragliding, a wildlife refuge, flying demos with eagles, falcons and hawks, the Theatre in the Sky cinema, the First Nations Hiwus feasthouse, three impressive dining options.
