Sneak Peak Rate Offers Incentive To Explore Vancouver's Newest Addition to the Waterfront Before the Rest of the World Arrives!

December 17, 2009

North Vancouver, BC - The brand new Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier opens its doors on Vancouver's North Shore January 15, 2010, and is offering an introductory rate of $135 per night, based on double occupancy for just three weeks, leading up to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

This introductory rate allows guests to have a sneak peak of the new hotel property, and explore the North Shore before the city welcomes the world for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games. To make reservations people may call 1-877-986- PIER (7437).

Developed by Pinnacle International, The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier joins a collection of three other BC based hotels, owned and operated by Michael De Cotiis. Located at Vancouver's North Shore urban core, the hotel has a sophisticated city feel yet totally embraces the neighbouring natural elements, including the maritime heritage of the historic shipyard it is built beside. And, downtown Vancouver is just 12 minutes away, thanks to the Seabus Terminal right next door.

With 105 rooms, the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier offers the type of amenities usually found at much larger hotels, including over 8,000 square feet of meeting space. Interior design was done by the world renowned design firm CHIL, and the waterfront location beside Lonsdale Quay means the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier offers spectacular city views with the North Shore mountains in its backyard.

An entire floor of the hotel is dedicated solely to personal health and wellness with state-of-the-art equipment, swimming pool, yoga studio, entertainment lounge and health club facilities. Options for an outdoor workout within minutes include tackling the Grouse Grind (known as nature's Stairmaster), mountain biking, trail running/hiking and kayaking.

"Our goal is to show how you can combine the amenities, service and "get down to business" appeal of a city hotel with the relaxation, creativity and ability to get out and discover a range of outdoor experiences that draw people to a resort property," says General Manager Dale Dyck. "And while the world will be coming to our doorstep in less than two months, we very much want to ensure the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier quickly becomes a favourite with local and regional residents - whether for a meal or their new Vancouver hotel of choice."

Executive Chef Brian Fodor oversees all dining at the hotel, including the 85 seat restaurant, banquet facilities which can host up to 450 guests, and in-room dining. He describes his menus as featuring local ingredients and recipes rich in providence that tell the stories of the lower mainland's culinary heritage and celebrates the Italian and Mediterranean roots of DeCotiis.

Regular rates at the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier will range from $175 - $300 which makes the "sneak peak" such a peak deal. More information on the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier may be found at www.pinnaclehotelatthepier.com.
